Rating 4 out of 5
I transferred to Montclair State University for my sophom*ore year of college to study business administration. My first year has overall been a pleasant experience! All of my advisors have been very helpful with the transition, and I enjoyed most of my classes! The campus is very beautiful and easy to navigate. I especially like all of the fun events they have on campus throughout the year such as Red Hawk Day. As of now, I do not have any complaints. Overall, I am enjoying my time at Montclair, and I hope to get more involved during my junior year by joining clubs and meeting new people!

Attending Montclair State University has been a dynamic and enriching experience. The wide range of majors, minors, and concentrations, combined with experienced and dedicated faculty, makes for a strong academic environment. I’ve enjoyed the numerous student organizations and the variety of events and activities that keep campus life vibrant. One of the highlights is the university's proximity to New York City, which offers fantastic opportunities for internships and cultural experiences. The campus itself is beautiful, with a good mix of modern and historic buildings, and the facilities are top-notch. However, there are some downsides, like the limited parking, slow administrative processes, and large class sizes in popular programs. Despite these issues, the strong career services and academic support have been incredibly helpful. Overall, Montclair State University provides a well-rounded and supportive environment for students.

Overall I like Montclair State a lot. As a commuter I was able to experience and enjoy a lot of the campus and not feel like I was missing out on anything. The always had events in the common areas that all the campus was free to participate in. The classes were a great size big enough to not feel targeted but small enough to also be known by your professor if you needed some extra assistance with anything or would like a mentorship. Very friendly and safe campus; you’d see campus police all the time. My time there was great I’m glad I went there!
