Robert Stolley has been in the pest control business for the past six years and in February he decided to strike out on his own. He and his wife Shelby have formed Stolley Pest Services, LLC and are ready to take care of any problems you might have.

Stolley is a Seward native while wife Shelby grew up in York and is the daughter of Amy Wurst and Greg Wurst. The couple has three children: daughters, Pheobe and Maurci and son, William.

DeMers named headgolf coach at Pius X
York native and 2014 York High School graduate Jared DeMers is the new head girls’ golf coach for Pius X High School in Lincoln. DeMers played golf for the York Dukes and also played in college. He has taught golf as a pro at Highlands Golf Course for the past seven years.
“To say I am extremely blessed to be given this opportunity to teach and coach at a school like Pius is an understatement,” DeMers said. “I look forward to beginning our journey growing our faith together through such an incredible sport.”
DeMers, who played golf at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, will join Pius X as a teacher this fall.
“Jared has a great record of teaching golf locally, and played competitively in high school and college,” Tim Aylward, interim Activities Director at Pius X, said. “We’re excited to have him on our staff.”
DeMers is the son of Tammi Sahling of York.
Royal recognized by CIC
Ben Royal, CIC, of Cornerstone Insurance Group, was recently recognized for professional leadership and advanced knowledge by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), a leading national insurance professional organization, and awarded a certificate marking 20 years of participation as a designated CIC, which requires annual completion of advanced education and training.
The CIC Program is nationally recognized as the premier continuing education program for insurance professionals, with programs offered in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the Society of CIC is a not-for-profit organization and the founding program of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.
He and his wife, Jamie, have three grown children and reside in York.

Firecracker Frenzy
It’s next week and the York Chamber needs your support. The annual Firecracker Frenzy fireworks display will be coming back to York on July 3 at the York County Fairgrounds. It’s one of the best fireworks shows in the area and as you might imagine, it doesn’t come without some cost.
